Neville Tranters Stuffed Puppet Theatre gastiert wieder zum diesjährigen 11. Internationalen Festival für Figuren-, Objekt- und Anderes Theater in Leipzig

Am 17. Oktober 2002 ist erneut das Stuffed Puppet Theatre aus Amsterdam in Leipzig. Bereits vor zwei Jahren begeisterte Neville Tranter das Publikum mit der grandiosen Inszenierung "Moliere" in einer restlos ausverkauften Vorstellung. In diesem Jahr kommt das Stuffed Puppet Theatre mit dem Stück "RE: Frankenstein" nach Leipzig.
Man sollte sich rechtzeitig um Tickets zu regulären Preisen bemühen; in Erinnerung an das letzte Tranter-Gastspiel kann davon ausgegangen werden, daß die Karten später nur noch auf dem Schwarzmarkt zu bekommen sind ...

In 1976, NEVILLE TRANTER, the actor and puppeteer from Toowoomba in Australia, set up the Stuffed Puppet Theatre. Two years later he settled in Holland where he continued developing his performance, visually and emotionally, to its present form - a puppet show for adults. Neville Tranter is capable of evoking images the audience will not forget for a long time. His combination of down to earth humour, deadly seriousness and virtuoso puppetry has already made permanent converts of an audience who wanted nothing to do with puppets.

RE: FRANKENSTEIN is about the loss of innocence. About love changing into hate, about pride changing into a sense of guilt, but also about chasing illusions. Because the doctor, in his pursuit to create his own monster, finally destroys himself.
The monster is inside us and we cannot fight it by projecting it outside ourselves. In the end man has to live with his own (in)abilities. That is the real struggle.
Inspired by Mary Shelleys novel and Wolfgang Diechsels theatertext.

Als weiteren Höhepunkt sollte man sich das Gastspiel der Compagnie La Loupiote aus dem Elsaß vormerken, welches schon lange auf der »Wunschliste« der Festivaldirektion stand. Das Theater wird mit einem phantasievoll-liebenswerten Schattenspiel erstmals nach Leipzig kommen.
